Why “heroes” of faith can be people we look up to, but how our personal relationship with the Father always takes precedence.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

Father, thank You for the christian pioneers who have helped point us to you. As we build on their wisdom & grow in the knowledge of you Lord, help us to always remember that we look to YOU alone, to anchor our faith.
Give us each a fresh understanding and intimate revelation of your ways and your word. No matter what happens around us, or how others may fall, may our hope and assurance in you never be shaken because it is YOU that we fix our eyes on. Thankyou for being our firm foundation, our unchanging, everlasting King.
Show us the way we should go, for to you we entrust our lives.
